The inclined lift of Covilhã (staircase of Santo André) was installed at the beginning of 2009 and is operational since March of this year. Connects the top of “Calçada Alta” and the Municipal Market.

This equipment has on board motor group, complying with the specification of the client for an elevator without machine room.

The electric motor is AC type, controlled by a frequency converter that optimizes power consumption and comfort of accelerations and decelerations.
